Modecor recommends that the decorative surfaces may be cleaned with warm water and mild soaps, such as those used for hands and dishes. We do not recommend the use of cleaners, which may contain abrasives, acids or alkalis; they will damage the decorative surface. Remove stubborn stains with a 1.5 - minute exposure to hypochlorite bleach, followed by a clean water rinse.

It is recommended that any of the following reagents should not come in contact with the decorative surface:

a)   Alcohol containing 1% iodine in solution
b) Berry juices
c) Gluing
d) Gentian violet
e) Hydrogen peroxide solution
f) Hypochlorite bleach, except as described above
g) Lye solutions
h) Mild silver protein, such as 20% argyrols
i) Mineral acids, hydrochloric acid such as Lime-A-Way, sulfuric or
nitric acid.
j) Potasium permaganate
k) Silver nitrate, in 1% concentration
l) Sodium bisulfate, such as Sani-Flush

If a laminate is required to withstand these chemicals, please refer to the technical data for Modecor laminates, or write to us.
